College Profile
Chenab College of Education was established in the year 1999 at village Langer, Opp : SBI, Kalu Chak under the aegis of Chenab Education Trust and is recognised by the Govt, of J & K and affiliated to the Jammu University for B.Ed. course. The College is located in approximately 12 kanals of land having grand & imposing chain of buildings with separate Teaching & Administrative Blocks, GirlsHOSTEL , Multipurpose Hall within the College premises - all set in a magnificent lush green lawns, impressive plantation both of decorative as well as fruit trees in a eco-friendly environment. Ever since its inception, the college has made a steady progress both in its infrastructural facility as well as in imparting quality education. Starting with a meagre number of 110 students in 1999, the College had today 332 students on rolls in 2012-2013 session, drawn from various adjoining States of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, U. P., Uttarakhand, Bihar and J&K.

College Library
The College Library has more than 4000 books in its accession list and subscribe prestigious journals of Education published in the country and abroad. In the session 2012 - 2013 more reference books and encyclopedia on education costing about one lakh were added. Efforts are being made to procure more books by foreign writers and authors to give the benefit of sharing thoughts to students and teachers from original sources to build up knowledge society.
Efforts are also being made to procure digital books to train students in latest techniques of Information Technology in education to make the library broad based and in tune with latest development for the benefit of the students.
The Library has been housed in a spacious Hall with adequate furniture and equipment to make it an ideal place of learning and reading.
Girls Hostel
The College have state of Art Hostel building to accommodate more than 150 Girls students . There is an adequate board and lodging arrangements like spacious rooms having modem facilities, modem kitchen and dinning Hall. The warden of the Hostel looks after the comforts of the inmates and provide a congenial environment to make the Hostel a comfortable home away from the home.
Information Technology & Computer Labs
The College have a well equipped Information Technology and Computer Laboratory which have been recently renovated by adding more Computers and equipment. Besides, imparting training to students, these laboratories have the facility of preparing teaching / learning material.
