Welcome to Chenab College of Education

Chenab College of Education was established in year 1999 at village Langer opp. SBI Kaluchak under the aegis of Chenab Education Trust and is recognized by the Govt. of J&K and is affiliated to the University of Jammu for B.Ed. course. The college is located in an approximately 12 kanals of Land having grand & imposing chain of buildings with separate Teaching & Administrative Blocks, Girls Hostel, and Multipurpose Hall within the college premises – all set in magnificent lush green lawns. Impressive plantation both of decorative as well as fruit trees in an eco friendly environment further add to the ambience of the college.

Ever since its inception, the college has made a steady progress both in infrastructural facilities as well as in academic aspect. Starting with a meager number of 110 students in 1999, the college made multidimensional progress and kept on marching ahead on the road to quality education.

The number of students also kept on growing and there were 332 students on rolls in 2012-2013 session and the enrollment remained above 300 till the year 2015, when the new B.Ed. curriculum got introduced and the duration of the B.Ed. course became 02 years with semester system in place. It is not out of place to mention here that the college is one of the most popular institutes of the area and also one of the two top choices of the students and admission of 379 students in the Session 2006-07 and around 350 and above in the following years too, bears a testimony to the popularity of the College.

Today, the college has made multidimensional progress on various fronts with a sanctioned intake capacity of 150 students and many good practices such as help to poor and needy students, scholarships to deserving students and merit cum means prizes to meritorious students etc. The college got its ISO certification in the year 2012 and its first ever NAAC Accreditation Certification in the year 2014.
